This nib holder is crafted from solid Japanese cherry wood a nd lacquered using the fuki-urushi technique, involving wiping urushi lacquer with a cloth after the application. This process of wiping allows the lacquer to be absorbed deep into the grains of the wood and highlights the natural beauty of the grains more so than other urushi methods.
